We thank Lynda Waters for giving us the opportunity to expand our understanding of what the experience of being alive means, to feel and to express our love for her and to teach us to be in the moment, enjoying life in its fullness. And, as strange as it may sound at first, by being in a state of coma, Lynda can help us to “wake up” to life's most subtle elements, which we unconsciously take for granted in our rushed day-to-day lives: a flower in a neighbor's garden, the white cloud shaped like a chicken, the chirping of birds, in the early morning, the laughter of a friend over the phone, a kiss thrown through the glass at the airport, a written note saying "I love you" left on the breakfast table, the a pet shows as you enter the door, and all the "little" things that go unnoticed, lost in the middle of all the other "important" stuff. As we dance for Lynda, we invite you to gently and joyfully wake up to life!

Hozuhni (Rosane Gibson)

My eyes are filled with tears and my heart with warmth and joy. All things happen for a reason and even in her dreamlike state, Lynda is helping Enlightenment Through Dance flourish. The author of this column has completely embraced the true meaning of Enlightenment Through Dance and all that it means to not only those who dance it, but those who it comes in contact with.
With everything that is good in the world, you shall benefit three fold, that is my spiritual belief as a Pagan. You have and always do bring such love into everything you touch, it is only a matter of time before you reap the rewards.
Cheers to you
Cheers to Enlightenment Through Dance
Cheers to Lynda
Cheers to us all who choose to become Enlightened
Much love

Good Morning Hozuhni!
It was a pleasure and an honor to dance with you, all of the Enlightment Dancers and watch you and Zhor dance together. The benefit for Lynda was one of the best nights of my life! It was amazing being part of a group of women who were able to come together and work together to pull something of this magnitude off successfully. There was not one person who stood around and did nothing. Everyone pitched in and helped, no one got pushy or aggressive. It was a perfect cohesion of talents and personalities. Together we made a difference in many lives, even our own. I am so thankful to know all of you. And when I heard of Lynda's reaction, it gave me goose bumps and brought tears to my eyes. Thanks for being such an inspiration!
Hugs and Shimmies,
Sheri Deliman

While looking through some old files I have on my computer, I came across this old article that was written in 2006 by the Ledger about Enlightenment Through Dance. I wanted to forward it to you, even though most have probably read it already, because it has many quotes from Lynda and it just emphasis what an amazing woman she is and also the tremendous impact Enlightenment Through Dance has on all of our lives.

It was truly a pleasure meeting many of Lynda's family members last night and the fundraiser was such an amazing success! I hope the hospital staff are enjoying their sweets and I look forward to the day when we can share the memories of this event with Lynda.

I am sad that I can't be there Friday. I am, for my husband's health, in IL indefinitely. My spirit will be with the Enlightenment Through Dancers and the benefit for Lynda. Sharon Bowden

"I just can't thank you enough for such an awesome show you and the ladies of the Enlightenment Through Dancers put on for my Lynda last night and I told her about it today !!!"

It is very beautiful that people like you care so much for your friends
and take action to help them in a time of need.
I am sure Lynda could feel the vibration as her friends gathered to actually
DO something to help and improve her current situation. This act alone
can be tremendously empowering even more so when it is done with
the love and creativity all of you have demonstrated by creating a whole
new show to express that love.
Have no doubt that by blinking three times, for "I love you", at exactly the
time you began the show for her, Lynda wanted you to know that, in spite
of her being in a coma, she can feel your love and care. Beautiful!

Good afternoon everyone,
I just received a beautiful message from Hozuhni that she wanted me to share with you. She is on her way back to Miami,  remembering ever so lovingly about dancing with all of us last night, and how beautiful we all are. She is so proud of all that we accomplished in such a short period of time and so am I. It is amazing how such strong dedicated women can connect and bring about the creation that was last night. Everyone of us played an intricate part in making last night a success utilizing what is special within each of us.
For those of you who either did not go to Applebee's or left early, this is a message that Hozuhni received late last night from Lynda's brother David: David received a phone call from his mother who was at Lynda's bedside the entire night and at exactly 8pm (at the time that Robin began the group meditation), Lynda turned her head towards the window and blinked her eyes 3 times (for I love you) and her mother said she could tell that Lynda could FEEL our prescence. Lynda's mom did not know that our meditation was occuring which in itself is such a miracle and just proves that the combined love of many can bring forth such happiness and change, not only for Lynda, but the world. Everything is made up of energy.......just imagine if we all combined our positive energies daily, the beautiful impact we could have on our world.
Also, our grand total for last night was $1471.00 which was given to Lynda's brother David last night for him to deposit in her account. He wrote a very small but endearing note on a scrap piece of paper, which I framed using Kimberly's blue frame and I will bring into class on Monday.
Enjoy the weekend, enjoy your families, cherish life!
Hugs and shimmies

She who knows others is wise
She who knows herself is enlightened

This looks very fine.  Very professional.  I can’t wait to see you on Friday evening.  What a wonderful event our group is pulling together.  I am very proud to be a part of such a compassionate group of human beings. I finished up a second painting for Lynda last night.  I will have some prints made today or tomorrow.  More later, Hope you are well and in fine form for your upcoming performances.  I look forward to meeting your dear friend and dance partner, Zhor.  What good luck of you to round up a Prince Charming for the show! Love you mucho,

Jeanie Wu

LYNDA'S paintings are available. Maybe one of Lynda's family members or friends or one of Lynda's associates  will see the image and want to use it for products (like t-shirts or postcards to send or
posters) on an ongoing basis that could be used to generate funds to help our Sleeping Beauty and her courageous family.

Contact Jeannie if you would like to have Lynda's paintings!

Cool! Lynda is going forward... that is all that really matters! The Ranchos Las Amigos scale is the main scale we use in brain injury rehabilitation and it is a great model. Some people are in a particular stage for a while and some people seem to fly through stages. Everyone's brain injury is different and every person with a brain injury is different. Here is a nice link to the scale: http://www.waiting.com/rancholosamigos.htmlBlessings to all of you, and constant love and light to my friend and dance sister Lynda!
